Use known-good waveform information for the exact engine. Tooth counts and reference positions are not portable between generations.
Oil control comes before timing-cover removal
Confirm level, viscosity, pressure and VVT command/response. Sludge or restricted control passages can prevent the cam from reaching its expected position.
