P0456 means the Santa Fe EVAP monitor could not hold the very-small-leak threshold; it does not prove the cap failed. Preserve fuel level, cap and refueling evidence, identify the correct vapor layout, command purge and canister-close operation, validate tank-pressure response, and use regulated smoke to section filler, canister, hoses and tank seals. Three-row, Sport, turbo and hybrid layouts differ. Hard starting after refueling raises purge leakage, while tank service raises pump-module seals.
