WHAT P0300 MEANS

P0300 means multiple 335i cylinders misfired or no cylinder dominated. Preserve 29CC/29D0-series companions, smooth-running values, cold/load conditions, bank adaptations and rail pressure. Label plugs/coils and make controlled comparisons, then test N54- or N55-correct injectors, pressure and crankcase/charge leakage. BMW's N54 cold-start injector bulletin is conditional on engine, production and wet-plug/injector evidence—not a general reason to install six injectors.

BMW 335i diagnostics divide primarily between twin-turbo N54 E9x cars, single-turbo N55 late-E9x/F30 cars and market-specific variants. The engines share a badge but not boost actuators, injectors, Valvetronic hardware or fault-code families. Confirm VIN, chassis, production date, engine, DME software and modifications before applying an N54 30FF or N55 2C57 procedure.

  • N54 and N55 direct-injection hardware and calibration procedures differ.
