WHAT P0300 MEANS

P0300 means multiple A4 cylinders misfired or no cylinder dominated. Preserve P0301–P0306, cold-start counts, load, trims and rail pressure before swapping parts. Inline-four TFSI, V6 and market-specific TDI engines use different cylinder maps and tests. Gasoline cold-start deposit or injector problems, boost-only ignition breakdown, PCV leakage and mechanical timing produce different signatures. A flashing MIL requires reduced load to protect catalysts.

Audi A4 diagnostics cross longitudinal B6, B7, B8/B8.5, B9 and newer platforms with naturally aspirated, TFSI and market-specific TDI engines. Longitudinal packaging does not make a transverse VW procedure interchangeable. Confirm VIN, model year, engine code, emissions configuration, transmission and current software before using a component map or bulletin.
